Nancy Helen Gates
Hayes Funeral Home

Mrs. Nancy (Grammy/Gangan) Gates passed from this life Saturday, December 22, 2007, in Houston.

Born September 6, 1940 in Ingles, KS, Mrs. Gates had been employed as a Marine Biologist with Halliburton N. V. S. and a graduate of Galveston Texas A&M.  She had attended Arcadia First Baptist Church, was an aid at UTMB, a volunteer at Camp Good News and helped with Missions Out Reach.

Survivors include her sons, William Gerald Gates of Texas City, David Gates of Hitchcock; stepson, William K. Gates, Jr. and wife, Easter of Houston; daughter, Kathy Dannie Palasota of Katy; 4 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, David Raines of Lubbock, Larry Raines of New Jersey; sister, Musette Conely of Hitchcock.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2007, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home.  A private cremation will be conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
