Roosevelt-Wilson Fun Run

Roosevelt-Wilson Elementary invites students, families and community members to join the school in their 1st 1K/5K Fun Run on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Bay Street Park, 1100 Bay Street N. in Texas City. Everyone is encouraged to pre-register because the first 300 registrants will receive a goodie bag. Check in will begin at 7 a.m. at the Rainbow Park gazebo. The Kids' 1K starts at 8 a.m. and the 5K Run/Walk starts at 8:30 a.m. All registered 1K & 5K participants who cross the finish line will receive an achievement medal. The race is free to all children 12 years and under. The cost for everyone else is $15 and includes a Fun Run Ttshirt. PTO is raising funds for new school playground equipment. This is a non-competitive race that is being used to raise awareness of having an active lifestyle while raising funds for the school. For more information, call 409-916-0200.
