The Bay Group is proud to announce that effective immediately Mary Alys Cherry, former editor emeritus of The Bay Area Citizen, will be the new publisher of Bay Area Houston Magazine, and the new Bay Group magazine, Best Practices Quarterly. 

"The entire Bay Group organization is not only excited but in awe of having such a talented, highly experienced, and award winning journalist join our team," states Rick Clapp, Bay Group Media Chairman.

Among many other honors and awards, Ms. Cherry was presented the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership's prestigious Presidential Award in January of this year.

A special reception welcoming Ms. Cherry to the Bay Group organization is in the planning stages. Information concerning the reception will be announced in the near future.
