Independence Band Concert, July 3

Independence Day Celebrations will be high lighted with the ringing of the miniature "Liberty Bell" by the children at the Galveston Pop Band Concert on Tuesday, July 3.

The music is performed by the Galveston Beach Band, directed by Frank G. Incaprera.  Patriotic selections are included for the Independence Day celebration, including 1812 Overture, America the Beautiful, God Bless the USA and the  Liberty Bell March by John Philip Sousa.  The highlight of the program will be the flag parade to the tune of You're A Grand Old Flag.

The weekly band concerts each Tuesday are sponsored by the City of Galveston and have been a tradition since 1928.  The concerts are performed at the Sealy Gazebo, located at 24th and Sealy, across from the Rosenberg Library.  Benches are provided and admission is free.
