Jefferson County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to name Alex Rupp as the interim airport director, effective July 16, with an annual salary of $60,889. Jennifer Hogancamp, the previous airport director, resigned last week. Rupp is currently the department’s financial analyst.
The commissioners court approved a change order in a contract with Triple B Services for a road reconstruction project in Precinct 3. The changer order will decrease the contract amount by $144,876.93.
The commissioners court tabled action on a change in the county’s burn ban policy. No ban is in place at the present time.

Following the regular meeting, the commissioners court met in executive session to discuss the “implementation of security personnel, devices or procedures” at the Jefferson County Courthouse.
Earlier the commissioners court met in workshop to hear a presentation from the Texas Facilities Commission on the State and Federal Surplus Property Program.
