Hitchcock City Commission on Monday voted unanimously to award a $259,800 contract to Schiler Construction Company, Inc. for improvements to the Neville Street Water Plant.

The commission voted unanimously to submit an application to the Texas Department of Agriculture for a $350,000 Community Development Block Grant for repairs to the city sewer system.

The commission voted unanimously to approve a new contract with Galveston County for animal services.
