Kemah City Council voted on Thursday to approve a resolution committing the market value of the City Lot as the local match for the proposed regional transit/parking terminal. Resolution
“The FTA allows project sponsors to utilize the appraised market value of a ground lease to meet local share capital match requirements,” said the resolution. “The Kemah Public Facilities Corporation is the title holder for the property which is bounded by 6th, Bradford, 7th and Harris streets, totaling approximately 90,000 square feet, hereto referred to as ‘the City Lot’.”
The city council voted unanimously to approve a 48-month contract with Startex Power as the provider of electricity for the city at a cost of $0.0559 per kilowatt hour.
