GCC Bay Area Houston Guidry News Gazette
Forum
Kerry Neves for Galveston County 10th District Court Judge
News Release
Tuesday, July 24, 2012

Good morning to everyone.  As you are probably aware, early voting has started, and will continue Monday thru Friday of this week, from 7 AM to 7 PM.  Please be sure you get out to vote, and take someone with you.  Make sure everyone you know understands the importance of this election.

As you know from my prior updates, my opponent in the run-off has been  spreading some pretty big whoppers about me.  In doing so, he also attacked Phillip Morris, the candidate who came in third in the primary voting.  Mr. Morris did not take kindly to those attacks, which I will simply say are very questionable when it comes to the truth.  Phillip has some other words for them and you can read what he says right here: http://thepolicenews.net/html/phillipmorris.pdf

One of his attacks on me related to a rape case in which I was the court-appointed attorney many years ago.  Since it occurred before 1984, the records of the District Clerk do not include that case.  Based on that, my opponent accused me of lying about the case, even though the County told him the records were limited in time.  I discussed all these allegations in my last update.

The interesting thing that came from that is that I received an email from a gentleman, telling me he had recognized the facts as he read my update, and realized he had been on the Grand Jury which indicted the two criminal defendants.  I guess my opponent will also accuse the reader of being a liar!

I believe everyone should consider all these facts when they go to vote.  I urge you once again to go to the polls, and I hope you will vote for Kerry Neves.

Kerry Neves
