Taylor Lake Village City Council
by Garrett Bryce
Thursday, August 02, 2012

Taylor Lake Village City Council on Wednesday voted unanimously to approve the city's formal membership in the Gulf Coast Coalition of Cities.

The city will pay a $0.15 per capita assessment for its membership in the coalition, which protects the interests of several membership cities in matters involving electric and gas utility rates.

The city council voted unanimously to appoint Karen Woodcox as the city's animal control officer.

The city council discussed, but took no action regarding promotion of the use of “Taylor Lake Village” as the city listed for sales tax purposes.

The city council discussed, but took no action regarding the retention of a law firm to serve as the city attorney.

Currently the city retains the law firm of Olson and Olson to provide city attorney services.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. Council Member Tony Galt was absent. Agenda
