Gracious Goodness Cookbook
News Release
Sunday, August 05, 2012

Gracious Goodness! Got cookbooks? Moody Memorial United Methodist Women will offer recipe tasting and the opportunity to purchase their “Gracious Goodness” church cookbook at the G. Lee Gallery, 2215 Postoffice Street, Galveston. The tastings are on Saturday, August 18th, from 6 – 9 p.m. during Art Patron Preview Night and 6 – 9 p.m., Saturday, August 25th, during ArtWalk. Cookbooks are $15.00 and all proceeds benefit United Methodist mission projects in our local community and beyond. Galveston County’s Resource Crisis Center for abused women and children, victims of the Texas wildfires, and Camphor Mission school children in Liberia, Africa, have already been helped through “Gracious Goodness”. Gallery Owner and Resident Artist George Douglas Lee is particularly keen on the peanut butter pound cake. Stop by, meet chief taster George, and sample some of the fabulous 450 recipes.   View the most creative and vivid artwork Galveston has to offer and pick up your own copy of “Gracious Goodness”!  If it’s church lady food it’s got to be good!
