UHCL Groups Run/Walk To Help At Risk Students

At risk children in the Communities In Schools-Bay Area (CIS-Bay Area) program were the benefactors of a recent 5K Run/Walk organized by two University of Houston-Clear Lake organizations. CIS-Bay Area is a dropout prevention program serving Clear Creek and Dickinson Independent School Districts.

Co-sponsors of the run held on the UHCL campus were the Cross-cultural Anthropology and Sociology Students Association and the Student Council for Exceptional Children.

For more information on the program, visit www.cisba.org/\.

Organizers recently presented a $500 check to Peter Wuenschel, executive director of CIS-Bay Area (center). At left is Tonya Tipton and at right is Jana Shanks. Not pictured is planner and organizer Tina Filip
