Try new things with COM’s adult classes

Explore the Titanic, create a project on the computer, stay physically fit or learn to tell your life story with COM’s Senior Adult Program. Now open to all adults age 18 and older, COM’s Senior Adult Program offers more than 40 different classes and workshops each semester to provide enriching creative and practical experiences. Senior trips and lectures are open only to adults age 55 or older. Senior adults who register for a program offering will be provided a free Senior ID Card. The card also entitles seniors to additional COM benefits such as access to the COM Library and Innovations Computer Lab.  

Seniors may register in person for classes, workshops and trips at the La Marque Center located at 1130 Delmar or in the Continuing Education Office located in TVB 1475 on the COM main campus. Returning students may also register by calling 409-933-8226 or 409-933-8586. Fall registration for senior adult classes begins Monday, August 13. Following course registration, seniors may obtain an ID Card in the COM Gym.  

Beginning this fall, the Senior Adult Program schedule is now located in the back section of the COM Continuing Education Schedule. For more information, please see the Fall 2012 CE Schedule, available online at
