This Week on Stage

Performances and Concerts this week on stage in the Gulf Coast region include"Annie" at Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston and Robert Irvine Live at The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston.

Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston will host Fort Bend Theater’s production of “Annie” on Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m.

“Annie is a spunky orphan who is chosen to spend the holiday with millionaire Mr. Warbucks,” said a synopsis on the Miller Theatre web site. “When Annie captures the hearts of everyone in the household Mr. Warbucks wants to adopt her but Ms. Hannigan, the orphanage's grubby overseer hatches a plan to spoil their happiness.“

Miller Theatre will also host “The Big Band: Tribute to Pop, Gospel and A Touch of Broadway” on Saturday at 8 p.m.

The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston will host Robert Irvine Live on Saturday at 8 p.m.  News Release

“This evening will really cook,” said a synopsis on The Grand’s web site. “With over 25 years in the culinary profession, acclaimed chef and restaurateur Robert Irvine brings his cooking to The Grand for an evening that promises to be tasty.”

Clear Creek Community Theatre in Nassau Bay is performing “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” this weekend, with performances on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Upcoming performances include “The Glass Menagerie”, opening August 24 at the Bay Area Harbour Playhouse in Dickinson, and “Frankenstein: The New Musical”, opening September 1 at Stage Door, Inc. in Pasadena.
