The Houston-Galveston Area Council Board of Directors on Tuesday voted unanimously to authorize a Local Project Advance Funding Agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation to fund Livable Centers Planning Studies.

H-GAC’s Livable Centers program was established to support local governments in creating quality places that provide alternatives to vehicle travel and provide opportunities for economic development. Study areas are selected based on a competitive process where proposals are evaluated for their implementation potential.

The board of directors voted unanimously to negotiate contracts with respondents for 911 Equipment & Emergency Notification Software and Services.

The board of directors voted unanimously to negotiate contracts with each respondent for program consulting all hazards preparedness, planning, and recovery services.

The board of directors voted unanimously to approve revised Houston-Galveston Area Emission Reduction Credit Organization bylaws as recommended by the AERCO Board of Directors.

The board of directors voted unanimously to execute third year contract for Regional Rideshare and Documentation Program with NuRide, Inc.

The board of directors voted unanimously to recognize the month of May as Bike Month in the Gulf Coast Region.
