The Houston-Galveston Area Council Board of Directors today voted unanimously to approve mid-year revisions to the H-GAC 2016 budget.
The proposed 2016 Revised Budget, which is down by approximately 6 percent, incorporates all known changes in revenues and expenditures, as well as financial results of operations through June. The proposal includes increases in transportation and local non-grant funded expenditures and decreases are in community and environmental, data services, and capital expenditures. Item Summary
“Each year about this time, we do a good housekeeping process in terms of H-GAC’s budget and financial programs,” said H-GAC Executive Director Jack Steele. "Part of good housekeeping means start by looking back, taking into account of all financially-related board actions to date.”
The board voted unanimously to approve a contract with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to revise and update the Galveston Bay Plan.
The board voted unanimously to approve a contract with HDR for the Port Area Mobility Study.
The board voted unanimously to approve appointments to H-GAC Advisory committees. Appointments
The board voted unanimously to nominate Matagorda County Judge Nate McDonald for the vice presidency of the Texas Association of Regional Councils.
