The Houston-Galveston Area Council Transportation Policy Council on Friday voted unanimously to appoint the 2017 TPC Nominating Committee. Listen (2:04)

The nominating committee will consist of James Patterson, Chair; Amanda Edwards; Doug Kneupper; Scott Taylor; and Scott Elmer. Item Summary

The policy council voted unanimously to authorize four amendments to the 2017-2020 Transportation Improvement Program and 2040 Regional Transportation Plan.

These amendments are:

  • Program the FY 2016 apportionments for the Houston Urbanized Area’s Federal Transit Administration Section 5307 Urbanized Area Grant, Section 5339 Bus and Bus Facilities and Section 5337 State of Good Repair Program of Projects in the Transportation Improvement Program.
  • Add the IH 10 ramp reversal project in Baytown and the SH 288 northbound exit/entrance ramps and access road construction project at Rodeo Palms Parkway into the Transportation Improvement Program.
  • Program FYs 2019 and 2020 of the Houston-Galveston Area Council’s Air Quality Program of projects in the Transportation Improvement Program.
  • Add the Northpark Drive six-lane widening project into the 2040 Regional Transportation Plan.

The policy council achieved a quorum of 20 members. Agenda Attendance
