Port of Orange Board of Commissioners

The Port of Orange Board of Commissioners on Monday voted unanimously to adopt a resolution in support of legislation to create a hospital district.

The creation of a hospital district will require approval by the Texas Legislature. The resolution supports a bill being introduced at the current session of the legislature.

The board voted unanimously to approve advertising for bids for repairs and renovations for Pier Road at Pier 10. The pier and road were damaged during a water release along the Sabine River.

The board voted unanimously to authorize an expenditure of as much as $50,000 for a property survey for a dredge spoil area.

The board voted unanimously to ratify a parking lot lease with Bludworth Marine.

No other items were acted on from executive session.

All other action items were approved by unanimous vote. Commissioner Jerry Hughes was absent. Agenda
