Underwriters Repeat Support To Keep Kids in School Tourney

Since 2010, Janice and Rick Gornto and Laura and Chris Goldstraw have been underwriting the annual Keep Kids in School Golf Tournament, which benefits Communities in Schools-Bay Area. These tournaments have raised more than $1 million and have impacted the lives of 15,000 students in the Clear Creek and Dickinson Independent School Districts,

This year's tournament will be held April 10 at Bay Oaks Country Club.    

Rick Gornto started the shamble golf tournament and has advised CIS-Bay Area to make Keep Kids In School the premier Bay Area premier tourney. Gornto also served as president of CIS-Bay Area board of directors.

Both Chris and Laura Goldstraw have served on the board of directors.




Communities In Schools-Bay Area serves 15 campuses in the Clear Creek and Dickinson districts with a mission to keep kids on the path to success through graduation and beyond. To learn more about the dropout prevention program, visit
