Missouri City City Council on Monday voted unanimously to approve, on first and final reading, an ordinance amending the FY2017 Budget.
The amendments include appropriating revenues received through the Quail Valley Utility District, and adding a visitors center manager to the authorize staff list.
The city council discussed the visitors center, which will be added to the city’s community center, and staffing of the center.
The city council voted to approve, on second and final reading, an ordinance re-zoning approximately 11.29 acres of land from a Suburban District to a Retail District.
The land is located on the west side of the intersection of Sienna Ranch Road and Highway 6, east of the Flat Bank Creek/levee. The applicant requested the change in order to utilize the site in conjunction with adjoining tracts that are already zoned for retail use.
All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with Council Member Don Smith absent. Agenda
