Brazoria County
Brazoria County Commissioners Court
by Garrett Bryce
Tuesday, February 21, 2017

Brazoria County Commissioners Court, in a special meeting today, voted unanimously to reject bids for the Brazoria County Expressway Project and to re-advertise the project.

The item was rejected due to an incomplete manual, which left ambiguities in regards to what documents were required for federal and state requirements.

The item will be re-bid with revised documents.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve a change order to a contract with Durwood Green Construction Company related to the third phase of the damaged roads reconstruction project.

The change order will increase the amount of the contract by $209,424 due to revised striping and pavement marking estimate quantities. The contract was originally awarded in the amount of $1,677,542, and has had two prior change orders.

No other action items were on the agenda. All members were present. Agenda
