METRO Chair Among Houston's 50 Most Influential Women of 2016
Houston Woman Magazine has recognized METRO Board Chair Carrin Patman for her outstanding efforts and named her one of Houston's 50 Most Influential Women of 2016.
"It is truly an honor to be recognized among this group of outstanding women. I look forward to the positive contributions we can make collectively," said METRO Chair Carrin Patman.
Since accepting the appointment from Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner in 2016, Chair Patman has overseen the completion of METRORail's Green Line overpass, the agency's Super Bowl LI service that yielded historic ridership, and initiated the development of a regional transit plan. She is the first woman to serve as the agency's chair.
The 50 honorees were selected by Houston Woman Magazine's staff and will be included in a keepsake edition. The magazine has published the list since 2008.
“Those selected as Houston’s 50 Most Influential Women of 2016 are individuals with vast networks of social and professional connections. They have earned an enviable reputation for their expertise in a particular field or arena. They are knowledgeable, credible and trustworthy," said Beverly Denver, publisher of Houston Woman Magazine.
