This Week on Stage

Performances and concerts this week on stage in the Gulf Coast region include “Cinderella” in Houston and The Rob Landes Trio in Galveston.

Company OnStage in Houston will kick off its production of “Cinderella” on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Poor Cinderella, in her father’s effort to try to save her from evil men, is left in the care of a wicked woman and her three daughters who mistreat and abuse her for years,” said a news release. “But when her fairy godmother makes an appearance, things change in her favor.” News Release

An additional performance is on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. The show runs through April 1.

The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston will host The Rob Landes Trio on Sunday at 4 p.m. with performances of Hollywood movie music.

Ever wonder how important a musical background is to a film?” said a news release. “Rob Landes will open your eyes and ears to the drama and excitement a musical score adds to a piece of film footage.” News Release

Beaumont Community Players wraps its production of “Xanadu” this week, with performances on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Betty Greenberg Center.

Main Street Theater in Houston wraps up “Copenhagen”, this week.

Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 3 p.m.

Clear Creek Community Theatre in Nassau Bay ends its production of “Last of the Red Hot Lovers” this week.

Performances are on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

The Alley Theatre in Houston continues its production of “Let the Right One In” this week.

Performances are on Tuesday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The show runs through March 19.

Upcoming performances include “Next to Normal”, on March 17 at Island ETC, East-End Theatre Company in Galveston, and “Dreamgirls”, presented by Theatre Under the Stars and opening April 4 at the Hobby Center in Houston.
