Sexual Assault suspect sought by La Porte Police
Shortly after 11:00 a.m., on March 6th 2017, a male suspect entered into a massage business located in the 9600 block of La Porte’s Spencer Hwy, and quickly forced a female employee into a massage room.
During an attempt to sexually assault the female employee, a customer entered the business, interrupting the crime. Because of the disruption, the suspect ran eastbound from the business, toward Underwood Road.
The suspect was described to investigators as a Hispanic male with black hair, muscular build, and wearing gray or faded black jeans, along with a dark t-shirt. The suspect also has a tattoo on his upper left arm (no description). If anyone recognizes the suspect, or has any information on the crime, please contact the La Porte Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division at 281-842-3173.
Due to an initial language barrier between the Asian female victim and police, the details of an attempted sexual assault on the afternoon of March 6th, originally released yesterday evening, have now expanded. As a result, La Porte investigators are providing area residents with additional crime and suspect information regarding the attempted sexual assault at a massage parlor in the 9600 block of Spencer Highway.
Additional pieces of information include the presence of a weapon during the March 6th crime, as the suspect displayed a knife while forcing the female to a room toward the back of the business, as well as the suspect holding the knife close to the suspect in a highly-threatening manner upon the business door opening from a customer entering. The entrance of the additional person into the business essentially deterred the assault’s completion. Of added importance, the suspect in the March 6th attempted assault is a primary suspect in a separate January 23rd sexual assault offense which occurred at the same business.
Again, if anyone recognizes the suspect, or has any information on the crime, please contact the La Porte Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division at 281-842-3173.
