The Supreme Court of Texas on Thursday heard oral arguments in the matter of Galveston County Judge Mark Henry vs. Galveston County 56th District Court Lonnie Cox.

The case involves Cox's order to set a court administrator's salary, and whether the appeals court properly upheld a temporary injunction requiring Henry to hire a certain court administrator, Bonnie Quiroga, and pay her a certain salary. Henry had filed the petition for review by the Texas Supreme Court in February of 2016. Case Documents

Terry Adams, Jr. delivered initial arguments on behalf of Henry, and Mark Stevens represented Cox provided arguments and responded to questions from the Justices. Listen (46:23)
