City Encourages Residents to Voice Their Opinions At March 28 Community Input Symposium

What: Join City officials and staff for a chance to provide your input on the website redesign under way and a draft of the Comprehensive Plan.

Currently, staff is in the process of managing a complete redesign and upgrade of the City’s main web presence—, and resident feedback is needed to make the change a success. To voice your opinions now, click this link:

The Symposium will also offer an opportunity for Development Services staff to share an overview of the Comprehensive Plan draft before it is finalized and presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council for approval in the spring. The plan is designed as a framework for guiding future development, redevelopment and community enhancement throughout the next 20 years and beyond.

When: 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28

Where: Community Center in City Hall Complex, 1522 Texas Pkwy.

“Citizen input is critical to the update of our City’s main website. We will be asking residents to provide feedback on the current site and address functionality issues, desired changes and other recommendations to provide the most resident friendly website possible,” City Manager Anthony J. Snipes said. “Our Comprehensive Plan, our roadmap for future growth and development, has been receiving input for more than a year from residents across all demographics and from our Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee,” Snipes added. “The Plan has been completed and is now in need of final resident review and resident approval.”

Volunteer opportunities are available for this event; interested residents may contact Media Relations Specialist Cory Stottlemyer at or by phone at 281.403.8532. Residents can fill out a volunteer application on the City’s website here:
