Shoreacres City Council on Monday voted 3-2, with Nancy Schnell and Ron Hoskins opposed, to reconsider and approve an ordinance regulating the use of golf carts to prohibit the use of carts on public streets or highways with a speed limit greater than 25 miles per hour.
The item had been approved previously but was vetoed by Mayor Kim Sanford.
The city council took no action on reconsideration and approval of a resolution appointing City Administrator David Stall as parliamentarian. The item was withdrawn.
The city council took no action regarding the ratification of Sanford's nomination of Phillip Yovino for appointment tot he Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. The item died for lack of a motion.
The city council voted unanimously to appoint Morgan Jones, Howard Dahl and Jaylee Whitaker to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
