Kemah City Council on Wednesday voted unanimously to authorize an expenditure of funds, in an amount not to exceed $30,000, to conduct a hotel/conference center feasibility study.

The funds will be paid through the Kemah Community Development Corporation.

The city council voted unanimously to authorize an expenditure of hotel occupancy tax funds for the Star Spangled Kemah 4th of July Celebration, in an amount not to exceed $75,000.

The city council took no action regarding authorization of Durotech to begin construction on renovations to the Visitor Center Complex and setting a guaranteed maximum price.

The city council took no action regarding authorization of Durotech to begin construction on the city parking lot and setting a guaranteed maximum price.

The city council voted unanimously to authorize the execution of an agreement with the Emergency Services Board to allow the employment of a Fire Chief/Fire Marshal.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. Council Member Matt Wiggins was absent. Agenda
