“It's nothing more than the highest honor for me to be appointed to this position,” Sreerama said, promising to make the Public Works Department seamless and transparent.
He succeeds Dale Rudick, who is retiring from his position at the city effective April 3.
Johnson has served 30 years in the public sector in parks and recreation activities. She has worked for the City of Houston since 2002.
Johnson will serve in the interim effective April 30, following the retirement of Parks and Recreation Director Joe Turner.
