Jefferson County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to establish a Pace Program in the county.

The 83rd Session of the Texas Legislature enacted the Pace Act, or Property Assessed Clean Energy Act, which allows the governing body of a local government, including a county, to designate an area as a region in which the government and owners of commercial, industrial, and large multifamily residential developments may enter into contracts to impose assessments on the property to repay the financing of permanent improvements intended to decrease energy or water consumption or demand. The commissioners court voted to approve a professional services agreement with Texas Property Assessed Clean Energy Authority for the Pace Program.

The company will serve as program administrator, and perform community outreach, application and approval processes, and management and reporting associated with the program.

The commissioners court voted to renew a contract with Rochester Armored Car Co., Inc. for armored car services.

The commissioners court voted to approve an office lease agreement with Neches Helicopter Training for office space at Jack Brooks Regional Airport.

The commissioners court voted to approve an election service contract and lease agreement with the City of Beaumont for the May 6 election.

The commissioners court voted to approve an election services contract and lease agreement with the Beaumont Independent School District for the May 6 election.

The commissioners court voted to issue a proclamation declaring March 20 as the Julie Rogers Gift of Life Youth Anti-Tobacco Day in observance of National Kick Butts Day in Jefferson Count. Proclamation

The commissioners court voted to reappoint Joshua W. Allen, Miriam K. Johnson, Bart Owens, Charles “Chuck” Guillory and William F. Miranda to the Jefferson County Drainage District No. 6 Board of Directors.

The commissioners court voted to appoint Clint Woods to the Southeast Texas Government Employee Benefits Pool Board of Trustees.

The commissioners court voted to appoint Leslie Little to the Southeast Texas Government Employee Benefits Pool Board of Trustees.

The commissioners court voted to extend an agreement with SMG for management services for Ford Park by two days. The agreement, which expires on March 31, will be extended to April 2.

The commissioners court voted to amend a management agreement with Global Spectrum, LP for the management of the Ford Park Entertainment Complex for the agreement to take effect April 3.
