Taylor Lake Village City Council on Wednesday voted unanimously to deny a rate increase proposed by CenterPoint Energy Resources on natural gas service.

CenterPoint had proposed an increase in revenues of approximately $31 million, and also proposed consolidating its Texas Coast and Houston divisions.

The city council voted unanimously to decline an increase in access line rates for telecommunication services.

The city council voted unanimously to approve a contract with Harris County for election services related to the May 6 election.

The city council tabled action regarding the adoption of new building regulation codes.

The city council took no action regarding the addition of a compensated animal control officer. The item died for lack of a motion.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. Council members Doug Blanchard and Tony Galt were absent. Agenda
