Tuesday, April 11, 2017

Beaumont City Council today voted unanimously to suspend the effective date of a proposed rate increase by CenterPoint Energy for natural gas service.

CenterPoint has proposed an annual adjustment to its Gas Reliability Infrastructure Program, to take effect May 29. The ordinance will suspend the rate increase until July 13 in order to review the company's filings.

The city council voted to approve the purchase of a new roof system for Fire Station No. 4, located at 1301 West Lucas.

The roof will be installed by SETEX Construction Corporation for the amount of $57,743.

The city council voted to accept maintenance of the street, storm sewer, water and sanitary sewer improvements in the Deerfield Phase V subdivision.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with all members present. Agenda
