Houston police are investigating several incidents that occurred during the Easter holiday weekend, including Sunday's fatal shooting of a 16-year-old at 1919 Runnels Street.

Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1919 Runnels Street

Houston police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at 1919 Runnels Street at about 12:25 p.m. on Sunday (April 16).

The victim, Elia Ndayisenga, 16, of the above address, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants A. Turner and Senior Police Officer J. Nguyen reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the Clayton Homes Apartments at the above address and found the victim had been transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound.  

Initially, no weapon was found.  After speaking to several juvenile males, who then stated they were present or nearby when the shooting occurred, a pistol was recovered at the scene.  Forensic examinations are underway to help determine the nature of the incident.  The investigation is continuing.
Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 12800 Dunlap

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 12800 Dunlap at about 11:55 p.m. on Saturday (April 15).

The identity of the male victim, believed to be in his 20s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Huff and Senior Police Officer J. Villarreal reported:

HPD officers responded to an emergency call in Missouri City at 12043 McLain Boulevard about 1:10 a.m. on Sunday (April 16) after Missouri City police officers notified HPD that a victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound and sitting in a black Dodge Charger at the above address.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  

Witnesses stated the shooting incident took place at 12800 Dunlap about an hour earlier.  At this time, there are no known suspects.

Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 7298 Kingsgate

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 7298 Kingsgate Circle at about 12 a.m. on Sunday (April 16).

The victim, Carlos Donaires, 33, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Officers T. Colbert and R. Klementich reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found the Mr. Donaires deceased.  Witnesses reported the victim had been involved in an altercation with several unknown male suspects and, at some point, one of the suspects produced a gun and shot Donaires.  The suspects then fled in an unknown direction.

Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 500 Slumberwood

HOUSTON - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 500 Slumberwood at about 11:35 p.m. on Thursday (April 13).  

The victim is identified as Patrick Aldape, 17, of Houston.   

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer S. Spivey and Officer R. Pemberton reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found Aldape had been shot by an unknown suspect.  He was transported via private vehicle to East Houston Regional Hospital and then via Life Flight helicopter to Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.  

At this time, there are no known witnesses nor suspects.

Investigation into Fatal Crash at 6300 Will Clayton Parkway

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 6300 Will Clayton Parkway at about 9:30 a.m. last Thursday (April 13).

The identity of the male victim, 56, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Hall and Officer C. Sartor reported:

The victim was driving a blue GMC C1500 pickup truck westbound at the above address when he failed to maintain a single lane and struck a parked City of Houston Public Works truck.  A crew with the Public Works vehicle was filling pot holes in the roadway.  The victim was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

The investigation is continuing.

Investigation into Fatal Crash at 4660 North Sam Houston Parkway East

Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred at 4660 North Sam Houston Parkway East at about 1:45 a.m. on Saturday (April 15).

The identity of the female victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer M. Flynn reported:

The victim was driving a black Ford Fusion at the above address when her vehicle stalled in the main lanes.  As the vehicle was sitting in a lane of traffic, not moving, the driver of a silver Nissan Pathfinder did not see the stalled vehicle, swerved and struck the right passenger side of the Ford.  The victim then got out of her vehicle to survey the damage and exchange information with the driver of the Nissan.  As the victim was standing outside her vehicle, the driver of a black Mitsubishi Galant also did not see the stalled Ford and stuck the left rear of the vehicle.  The victim, who was standing outside her vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The drivers of the Galant and Pathfinder were questioned and released.

The investigation is continuing.

Investigation into Fatal Crash at 4665 North Freeway

Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred at 4665 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) at about 2 a.m. on Sunday (April 16).

The identity of male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer N. Nicotra reported:

The driver of a grey Hyundai Sonata was traveling southbound on the North Freeway when the victim ran out onto the freeway.  The Sonata struck the victim and the impact caused the vehicle to stall in the main lanes of the freeway.  The Sonata was then struck from behind by a black Hyundai.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  The passengers in both vehicles were transported to area hospitals for minor injuries.  The driver of the Sonata was not impaired and was questioned and released.
