Missouri City City Council
by Garrett Bryce
Tuesday, April 18, 2017

Missouri City City Council on Monday voted unanimously to approve, on first and final reading, an ordinance issuing $15.5 million in general obligation bonds to fund transportation, drainage, public safety, parks and facility-related projects.

The bond issuance was awarded to Morgan Stanley, at an interest rate of 2.8548 percent, with funds to be provided on May 16.

The city council voted to adopt a resolution opposing the proposed elimination of the Community Development Block Grant Program. A proposed federal budget lists no funding for the grant program.

The city council voted to reappoint Dana Osborne and John Knox to the Sienna Plantation Management District Board of Directors.

The city council voted to award a contract to Classic Irrigation and Landscape for city-wide landscape bedding and maintenance services for the remainder of the current fiscal year and for FY2018.

All action items were approved. All votes were unanimous with all members present. Agenda
