Kemah City Council on Wednesday voted unanimously to authorize the mayor to execute a revised Section 380 economic development agreement with GBT Realty that incorporates the terms and conditions as discussed in closed session in a form that is acceptable to the city attorney.
The motion was made in relation to an economic development project being considered on property adjacent to the Wal-Mart on FM 518.
The city council voted unanimously to appoint council members Robin Collins and Teresa Vazquez-Evans to a design assistance committee to support planning the City Hall expansion.
The city council voted unanimously to approve the city's hazard mitigation plan.
The city council voted 3-0-3, with Kyle Burks and Matt Wiggins abstaining, to authorize permanent closure of Bay Avenue between 7th and 8th streets and approve private installation and maintenance of landscaping within the associated right of way.
The city council took no action regarding any necessary budget amendments.
