Finale to semester: COM students present free concerts

Enjoy free jazz, classical and a capella performances presented by College of the Mainland’s outstanding music ensembles.

Student Recital, May 2 at 12:30 p.m.

COM music majors will showcase their talents in the COM Recital Hall in a public concert. Vocal and instrumental musicians will perform classics, modern hits and more.

Mainland Chorale and Duck and Cover Concert, May 7 at 2 p.m.

The COM a cappella group, Duck and Cover, and Mainland Chorale will present Broadway showstoppers, classic hits and more in this free concert at Moody Mansion.

Jazz Ensemble Concert, May 9 at 7:30 p.m.

The award-winning COM Jazz Ensemble will present blues, jazz and swing hits at the free concert in the COM Fine Arts Building Recital Hall. Kicking off the concert will be “The Rufus Shuffle,” followed by “Blue Tiger,” which pays homage to the composing style of Henry Mancini. Audiences will also hear references to the “Pink Panther and “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”
