SOST goes “On the Town” May 4

BEAUMONT, Texas - The Symphony of Southeast Texas (SOST) invites you to get to know some of your orchestra musicians at “SOST On the Town” at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 4 in the Edison Plaza Lobby. This exciting concert experience takes the musicians out of the concert hall for an evening of great music, tasty treats and interesting conversation. The SOST Jazz Ensemble will perform music by Harold Arlen, Django Reinhardt, Tommy Dorsey, and other jazz greats, while also giving you a behind the scenes look at the life of a musician.

“SOST On the Town” provides a more intimate concert setting where the audience gets to see the musicians up close and personal. The relaxed and comfortable atmosphere of the Edison Plaza Lobby makes this event a completely different experience than traditional SOST concerts.

The concert will also feature a video presentation weaved throughout the musical selections illustrating each musician’s background and sharing some personal stories.

Seating for “SOST On the Town” is limited. Tickets are $15 each. To purchase tickets or get more information, go to www.sost.org or contact the Symphony office at (409) 892-2257.

Edison Plaza is located at 350 Pine Street in downtown Beaumont.

“SOST On the Town” is generously supported by Jason’s Deli.

The Symphony of Southeast Texas continues its mission of presenting educational, entertaining, and culturally enriching programs of the highest artistic quality and, as always, promises to be “Good to the last note!”
