La Porte City Council on Monday voted unanimously to authorize the city manager to execute documents necessary to complete the purchase of property at 1218 South Broadway.

The property is being purchased by the city for a purchase price of $172,000.

The city council voted unanimously to appoint Council Member John Zemanek to the Animal Control Advisory Board.

The city council voted unanimously to approve the minutes of the special called city council meeting of April 22 and the regular meeting of April 24.

The city council took no formal action, but gave direction to the City Prosecutor regarding new policies and procedures as discussed in executive session concerning the prosecution of commercial motor vehicle cases in Municipal Court.

No other action items were on the agenda. Council Member John Zemanek was absent. Agenda
