June Runoff Elections

Voters in some areas of the Upper Texas Gulf Coast will be casting ballots in June to decide races that ended in a runoff during the May 6 Election.

Pearland will hold a runoff election on June 10 to decide the mayoral seat and one council position. Incumbent Mayor Tom Reid and Quentin Wiltz will face off in the mayoral race. Dalia Kasseb and Woody Owens will compete for Council Position 7, a new seat on the Pearland City Council.

In Fort Bend County, Sugar Land voters will decide between Carol McCutcheon and Qaisar Q. Imam for the District 4 City Council Runoff Election on June 10.

In Galveston County, La Marque will host a runoff election for Council District D. Casey McAuliffe and Greg “Snow-King” Cornett will compete for the seat.

College of the Mainland will hold a runoff election between Melissa Skipworth and Sharon Mitchiner for Trustee Position 5.

Both La Marque and COM will hold their runoff elections on June 17.

Harris County rounds out runoff election races in the Upper Texas Gulf Coast with Pasadena on June 10. Jeff Wagner and John “JR” Moon are in a runoff to succeed Johnny Isbell as mayor of Pasadena. Daniel Vela and Felip Villarreal will face off for Council District A.
