This Week on Stage

Performances and concerts this week on stage in the Gulf Coast region include “Red” in Texas City and “Fun Home” in Houston.

Theatre Under the Stars in Houston will present “Fun Home”, opening on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Hobby Center.

Additional performances are on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The show runs through May 28. 

College of the Mainland Community Theatre in Texas City will kick off its production of “Red” on Thursday at 8 p.m.

Additional performances are on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The show runs through June 4.

Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston will host the Houston Grand Opera for “The Elixir of Love” on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.

The Alley Theatre in Houston ends its production of Arthur Miller’s “A View from the Bridge” this week.

Performances are Tuesday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m. Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Beaumont Community Players continues with “Spamalot: The Musical” this week at the Betty Greenberg Center for Performing Arts.

Performances are on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The show runs through May 27.

Island ETC, East-End Theatre Company in Galveston continues with “The Foreigner” this week.

Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The show runs through May 27.

Playhouse 1960 in Houston continues with “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged.” Performances are on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. The show run through May 27.

Upcoming performances include “Clear to Partly Crazy” at The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston on June 24, and “Freaky Friday”, opening June 2 at the Alley Theatre in Houston.
