Village of Tiki Island Board of Aldermen

The Village of Tiki Island Board of Aldermen on Tuesday voted unanimously to appoint Ron Simons as mayor pro tem.

The city council voted to adopt an ordinance amending the village's Zoning Ordinance regarding vacant lot restrictions.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with Alderman Freddie Carmichael absent. Agenda

During the meeting, Mayor Vernon “Goldie” Teltschick and Alderman Ron Simons took their oath of office after being unopposed for re-election to their positions in the May 6 election. Carmichael, who was absent, was also re-elected. Judge Mike Nelson administered the oath.

Also during the meeting, Teltschick presented a 20-year appreciation award to Captain Adren Sustaita, for his service to Tiki Island, and an appreciation award to Jean Jardine for her 40-years of service as a volunteer in the community.
