The Houston-Galveston Area Council Board of Directors today voted unanimously to approve the negotiation and execution of a contract with the Texas General Land Office for Hurricane Harvey Direct Housing Assistance Program.
The GLO is in the process of developing an agreement that allows H-GAC to provide assistance to residents qualified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency within the 13-county region whose homes were damaged by Hurricane Harvey. Item Summary
The board voted unanimously to approve a request for delegation of authority for Hurricane Harvey related contract actions in the interim between October and November 2017 board meetings.
The board voted unanimously to approve a request to negotiate contracts with each respondent listed in the Contract Award Recommendation Table for All Hazards Preparedness, Planning, Consulting and Recovery Services.
The board voted unanimously to make various advisory committee appointments:
- Jason Ford to the Gulf Coast Economic Development District
- David Parkhill as primary and Bret Raley as alternate to the Regional Flood Management Council
- Douglas Adkinson as primary and Mark Sloan as alternate to the Regional Homeland Security Coordinating Council
