ORANGE, Texas - Lutcher Theater is thrilled to present On Golden Pond performed by Montana Repertory Theatre on March 9, 2018, at 7:30 PM.

Tickets range from $30 to $37 and are available now at or by calling 409.886.5535.

Montana Rep has a long history of performing at the Lutcher. Some past performances include Barefoot in the Park, The Great Gatsby, Biloxi Blues and To Kill A Mockingbird. As Montana Rep's Creative Director, Greg Johnson retires, the company will not be touring next year in order to reorganize the program. Montana Rep has brought evidence of hard work and great performances to the Lutcher Theater throughout the years including this years heart touching performance of On Golden Pond.

On Golden Pond is an American treasure. Many are familiar with the story having seen the Academy Award-winning film by the same name, starring Henry and Jane Fonda and Katharine Hepburn. Something deep and profound resonates through the events that unfold in this American masterpiece brilliantly penned by Ernest Thompson. Beguilingly simple, this tale of a single family and how they pull apart and then find each other has been touching audiences for decades and generations. This play has endured because it deals with a family in crisis in a humane, poetic, and often very funny way.

In correlation with the profound story-line of On Golden Pond, representatives from the Houston and Southeast Texas Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association will be present at the March 9th performance at the Lutcher on the second floor lobby. The representatives will provide various educational documents, donations forms, and information about upcoming events during pre-show and intermission. The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support, and research. Its mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
