Brazoria County Commissioners Court on Tuesday voted unanimously to accept the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for FY2017.

The report included an audit of the city's finances for FY2017. Kennemer, Masters & Lunsford, LLC, the firm that conducted the audit, issued an unmodified opinion. The opinion is the highest assurance that the county's financial statements accurately reflected the financial position of the county. Comprehensive Annual Financial Report

The commissioners court voted unanimously to accept the FY2017 audit of the Brazoria County Toll Road Authority. Audit

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt a resolution declaring April 21-22 as San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge Days. Resolution

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt a proclamation declaring April as Fair Housing Month. Proclamation

The commissioners court voted unanimously to appoint Tammy DeLeon and Joan Schauer to the Brazoria County Library Board.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize a payment of $23,000 to Jose Ochoa as settlement of a property damage claim, as discussed in closed session.

The commissioners court took no action resulting from any other items discussed in closed session.
