Wednesday, April 18, 2018

Sugar Land City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve an ordinance, on first reading, rezoning approximately 78 acres of property in the New Territory Commercial Area from a Single Family Residential District to Neighborhood Business, General Business, or Business Office districts.

The property consists of four main commercial locations, which are south of Highway 90A and west of Easton Avenue; south of Highway 90A and east of Grand Parkway 99; north and south of New Territory Boulevard and east of Grand Parkway 99, and along Homeward Way and south of Gateway Boulevard.

The New Territory area was annexed in December, and received interim Single-Family Residential zoning at the time.

The city council voted to award a $115,870 contract to Green Orange Construction Professionals, LLC for materials and labor for the Temporary Gun Range.

The city council voted to award a $400,000 contract to Arcadis-U.S., Inc. for the Lift Station Assessment Project.

The city council voted to authorize a utility relocation reimbursement agreement with CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC in the amount of $97,115 for the State Highway 6 Widening Phase III Project.
All action items were approved. All votes were unanimous with all members present. Agenda
