Pearland City Council

Pearland City Council on Monday voted unanimously to award a $4,881,963 contract to SER Construction Partners, LLC for the Southeast Quardrant of Old Townsite Draimage Improvement Project.

The project aims to alleviate ongoing flooding problems in the southeast quadrant of the Old Townsite area and to create sub-regional detention for future development and potential re-development.

The city council voted unanimously to approve a windstorm and wind driver rain insurance through AmRisc Carriers in the respective amounts of $520,590 and $15,750.

The city council voted unanimously to appoint Vanessa Wilkerson Dunn to an unexpired term on the Library Board.

The city council voted unanimously to enter into an amended contract with Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. in the additional amount of $7,500, for a new total contract amount of $57,350, for facility assessment services related to Hurricane Harvey.

The city council voted unanimously to award a contract, in an amount not to exceed $73,000, to Galls, LLC for the purchase of of fire department uniforms.

The city council voted 5-0, with Trent Perez away from the table, to renew and amend a contract with A & A Cleaning Services, in an amount not to exceed $359,200, for cleaning services.

The city council voted 2-4, with only J. David Little and Keith Ordeneaux voting in favor, to deny a motion to authorize staff to pursue the purchase of property located at Wagon Trail Count Road 555.

The city council voted 2-4, with only Little and Ordeneaux voting in favor, to deny a motion related to the opening of a 30 day public comment period.

All other items were approved by unanimously vote. Council Member Derrick Reed was absent. Agenda
