Brazoria County Commissioners Court on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve comments to be submitted regarding the State and Federal Plan for Hurricane Harvey Relief.

The county is submitting three resolutions in letter form concerning various issues with the plan for the funding. Commissioner Stacy Adams discussed the issues on which the county is submitting comments. Meeting Video

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt a proclamation declaring May 3 as National Day of Prayer in Brazoria County. Proclamation

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt a proclamation declaring the week of April 29 through May 6 as Soil and Water Stewardship Week in Brazoria County. Proclamation

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reject an offer of $500 for the purchase of tax foreclosed property at Velasco, Block 809, Lot 8 in Freeport.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to award contracts to four vendors to conduct inspections of fire alarms, sprinkler systems and fire extinguishers for the county. The four vendors are Fire and Life Safety America, Cintas Fire Protection, Liberty Fire Protection, Inc., and Advantage Interests, Inc.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to award a $274,678 contract to SAM-CS construction Services for construction engineering and inspection services for the State Highway 288 Truck Weigh Facility.

The commissioners court met in executive session to discuss matters regarding potential litigation and the potential purchase of property. No action was taken on any items discussed in closed session.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
