This Week on Stage

Performances and concerts this week on stage in the Gulf Coast area include “The Summit: The Manhattan Transfer Meets Take 6” and Society for the Performing Arts’ presentation of Troker in Houston.

The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston will present The Manhattan Transfer and Take 6 in concert on Saturday at 8 p.m.

“Imagine a ‘swinging’ musical evening with some of the finest vocal harmonizing on the planet, as two of the most gifted a cappella singing groups in the world perform together in concert on a special double bill,” said a news release. News Release

Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston will host the Society for the Performing Arts for its presentation of Troker on Friday at 8 p.m.

Miller Outdoor Theatre will also host its Cinco de Mayo at Miller event, with Mariachi Los Camperos on Saturday at 8 p.m.

Bay Area Harbour Playhouse in Dickinson ends its production of “Death Trap” this week, with performances on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Upcoming performances include “Don Quixote”, presented by Houston Ballet at Miller Outdoor Theatre beginning May 11, and “Beauty and the Beast”, opening May 18 at Clear Creek Community Theatre in Nassau Bay.
