Seabrook City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve an advanced funding agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation for aesthetics enhancements along State Highway 146.

The city council voted unanimously to approve, on first reading, the economic development corporation's project designation for BlueLine Rentals, LLC and approval of expenditures for retention, relocation of an existing business requiring site modifications due to the State Highway 146 expansion project.

The Seabrook Economic Development Corporation will provide a development incentive of $212,500 for remodeling of a building for ADA compliance and provide sales tax reimbursement for 5 years or $65,000, whichever comes first.

The city council voted unanimously to refer back to the Planning and Zoning Commission an ordinance revising off-street parking, loading, ingress and egress, landscaping and safety requirements, and providing for a new title.

The city council voted unanimously to refer back to the Planning and Zoning Commission an ordinance deleting landscaping and buffering requirements from Article 5 and recodifying the requirements by creating a new article.

The items will be reviewed and put through public hearings after staff makes significant revisions to the ordinance to write special provisions for the small lots in the Old Seabrook District.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
