Neighborhood and City-wide Harvey debris pick-up scheduled

The City of Friendswood’s trash collection vendor, Waste Connections, has scheduled free, Harvey debris pick-up Saturdays in May and June.

Wedgewood and Forest Bend neighborhoods will be picked up on Saturday, May 26.

Quaker and West Castlewood areas will be picked up on Saturday, June 2. 

Polly Ranch area will be picked up on Saturday, June 9.

Autumn Creek and Eagle Lakes areas will be picked up on Saturday, June 16.

All of these debris collections will take place between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m.

On Saturday, June 23, between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m., Harvey debris will be collected from any home in Friendswood that has registered before 5 p.m. June 20, at 832-645-7112.

For these Saturday collection days only, Waste Connections will pick up anything that was damaged in Harvey, or from a remodel due to Harvey. Their grapple truck can take couches, furniture, sinks, wall board, etc. Please have your debris piled as close to the curb as possible and at least five feet away from mailboxes, vehicles, fencing, or hydrants. Material should not be under any wires, such as power lines, cables, or overhangs.

Bagsters (dumpster bags) will not be collected since they are designed for a different type of collection truck.

The City will be sending out reminders through the Community Notification System three days prior to the pickup. If you are not registered for the Community Notification System, please go to  to sign-up for calls, emails and/or texts.
