Investigation into Shooting Incident at 4925 Van Fleet
News Release
Tuesday, May 15, 2018

Houston police are investigating the shooting of one man and injury to another at 4925 Van Fleet about 7:45 p.m. on Monday (May 14).

The victims, Jerome Johnson, 25, and Trevon Charles, 23, were transported to Ben Taub General Hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening wounds.

HPD Homicide Division Officers A. Le and N. Sharp reported:

Both Mr. Johnson and Mr. Charles were in front of a residence in the 4900 block of South Wind when unknown suspects approached on foot and began shooting.  Both victims began running away.  Johnson was struck one time.  Charles injured his leg while fleeing. 

The suspects, described only as black males, were possibly seen fleeing the scene in a silver SUV.
